Day One—quite possibly the greatest app for journaling, documenting general chronological things, and even automatically indexing your social media activity—is endowed with a generous helping of keyboard shortcuts.
In the Mac version, you can do everything from switch views (Timeline or Calendar), to create an entry from the menu bar, to lock or export your journal. There are even some for the iOS version if you’re using an external bluetooth keyboard.
