Apple announced its iPad 3 event for March 7 in San Francisco. Note the apps Apple chose to showcase in the Dock for its invitations: Maps, Calendar (naturally displaying Wednesday the 7th), and Keynote.

Also note the complete lack of visible pixels, but don’t read too much into the lack of a Home button. Most Home-button-less tablets have fared horribly with consumers for being too confusing to use, and the iPad in Apple’s invitation could simply be in landscape.
