In Sparrow, a fantastic and customizable email client, you can use a three-finger swipe up and down on your trackpad to move between messages. This works whether you have the message panel hidden or shown (⌘-⇧-T or Window > Message Panel), and it’s a great way to move quickly between conversations without having to mouse over and click on each one.
