The new ability to resize a window from any edge introduced in Lion also allows you to drag the window instead of resizing it. Simply click the edge of a window where the horizontal or vertical resize cursor appears and move the mouse orthogonal to the resizing direction (example: if you move to a left or right edge, drag the window up or down). As soon as the window starts to move, you can drag it around in any direction.
