Poster itsiOS 6 has gotten smarter with a whole bunch of common grammar hangups, one being it’s and its.

If you begin a sentence with ‘its’, iOS 6 will automatically add an apostrophe because people usually seem to want the pronoun contract form to refer to something in a previous sentence, like “it is a great day”. But if you use ‘its’ in the middle of a sentence, iOS leaves it alone in most cases, assuming you want to use it as a possessive pronoun.

Update: For those asking, the text editor I’m using here is Poster, a great WordPress blog editor for iPhone and iPad.
