While researching this post about Spotlight search in iOS, I found this Apple support document that explains some search tricks you can use with Mail’s built-in search. For example, “VIP read yesterday” will find all messages from contacts marked as VIPs that you read yesterday, while “flagged November 2013” will show all messages you flagged in November. Handy stuff.
