In addition to displaying colors for different calendars, Sunrise Calendar also adds a tiny icon to help you identify events more quickly. There is a fork and spoon for food-related events, an airplane for flights, and over 30 more.

Sunrise does this by watching for keywords in event title, and it has a list of all icons and keywords. This probably isn’t a major, must-have feature, but it is a nice detail that improves event recognition and preparation.
